Court Support Services
ARCS Manawatū has dedicated Social Workers who support survivors and their whānau through the court process. Going through the court system can be a huge unknown and our Court Support Service is available to help emotionally support and prepare survivors and their whānau for the process. The service is available before, during and after the trial.
ARCS Manawatū has produced the My Court Guide as a resource to help survivors prepare for the trial and sentencing. The resource covers topics like:
- Questions about the court process
- Understanding what the court hearings mean
- Coping skills and strategies
- Creating your trial/sentencing and support plan
- Victim impact statements.
